PALM BEACH, FL — (04-08-24) — Former First Lady Melania Trump has outraged conservatives over the announcement that she will be hosting an LGBT Fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago on April 20th. According to the invite obtained by JRL CHARTS LGBT Politics, the event will be held for the Log Cabin Republican Group, an organisation that represents LGBT conservatives.
The conservative LGBT Group’s event will be held at the Trumps’ personal residence at the Mar-a-Lago Club. According to conservatives, this is a slap in the fast of Christians as she holds her first fundraiser with people that the religious right have been at war with.
This isn’t the first time that the Trumps have supported the Log Cabin Republicans. In fact in 2021, Melania was the special guest at a Log Cabin Republican dinner that was also held at Mar-a-Lago. In fact the former president himself spoke at the event.
The Log Cabin Organization bills themselves as the largest LGBT conservatives group in the United States. In this reporter’s opinion, the proper thing to say is – They are the ONLY LGBT conservative group in the United States. They are also known to have supported Florida’s infamous ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.
Despite that, conservatives are still outraged that Melania Trump will be hosting an LGBT Fundraiser at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach.
Jenna Ellis, who was indicted alongside former President Trump in August 2023 for racketeering, wasted no time in taking to X to condemn Melania for running the fundraiser.
“Melania’s first campaign fundraiser is a pro-LGBTQ Republican event. This is an example of something Trump is doing that zero Christians can support.” said Ellis. “Even if you vote for him, which of course you should over Biden, Christ followers cannot support this.” said Ellis.
The LGBT fundraiser that is set for April 20th, is for the benefit of Log Cabin Republican’s 501(c)(4) nonprofit and is not a Trump campaign event.
