WASHINGTON D.C. — (06-20-20) — Former executive director and president of the Log Cabin Republicans, Gregory T. Angelo, has become the official spokesman for the Trump administration’s Office of Drug Control Policy. White House officials confirmed the news to JRL CHARTS on Friday.

Gregory T. Angelo who has made waves within the LGBTQ political sphere over the years but his latest choice in career opportunities has taken LGBTQ advocates by surprise.

Nationally Angelo was under the radar by serving as the communications director for Republican Congressman Pete Olson of Texas.

The ironic thing about this story is that his former political members of the Log Cabin Republicans didn’t endorse Donald Trump for president in 2016.

Though they didn’t vote for Trump, they did spend energy in defeating Hillary Clinton. How that makes sense is beyond me!

You have to wonder what is going through this LGBTQ political party’s thinking as they called the 2016 Republican platform the “most anti-LGBT” in the party’s history.

With Angelo accepting his new role as White House communications director for the Office of Drug Control Policy, one has to wonder if he is aware that the Republican party is adopting the same platform for the 2020 election.

The former Log Cabin leader isn’t the first former Log Cabino official to join the Trump administration. That honor goes to R. Clarke Cooper, the Log Cabin Republican group’s executive director from 2010 through 2012.

His current assignment is working at the State Department as assistant secretary for political-military affairs.
