BROOKLYN, NY — We can confirm that former CEO of the now defunct Rentboy.com, “Jeffrey Hurant”, struck a plea deal with prosecutors and formerly entered his Guilty plea in Federal Court. “Jeffrey Hurant” pleaded guilty Friday to promoting “the exchange of sexual conduct in return for a fee.”

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security was in charge of the investigation. In fact while most of the staff were released from the case, Hurant faced up to 20 years in prison on the original charges.

The 51-year-old Hurant formerly entered his plea in Federal Court in Brooklyn and has agreed not to appeal a sentence of two years or less in prison and/or a penalty of $10 million or less.

Back in August, the former Rentboy.com’s attorneys filed a motion noting the plea deal reached with prosecutors but at the time did not list details of the deal.

Jeffrey Hurant and the parent company of Rentboy.com, Easy Rent Systems Inc., were each indicted on three counts of promotion of prostitution and money laundering. Hurant will be sentenced on Thursday Feb. 2. 2017.
