TAMPA, FL — (04-24-22) — The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) launched a billboard campaign of “The Sunshine ‘Don’t Say Gay or Trans’ State” last week in Tampa and several other Florida cities. The billboards sponsored by HRC, are located in high-traffic areas and are part of an advertising campaign launched by the Human Rights Organization that is fighting the Republican Party’s War on LGBTQ.

The “Don’t Say Gay or Trans State” billboards aim to raise awareness around Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education” law which restricts instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in Florida schools K-12.

The anti-LGBTQ law known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, has drawn sharp criticism from LGBTQ+ advocates, students, Democrats and the White House.

The Human Rights Campaign told JRL CHARTS LGBT Politics News Division that a number of its billboards have already been erected and will run for the next four weeks in conjunction with online digital ads.
