Adult Store Employee Robbed at Gunpoint in Urbana

URBANA, IL — The Champaign County sheriff’s department are on the man hunt for a suspect who held up one of the hottest adult store on Urbana’s north side late Tuesday night.

Lt. Curt Apperson told the press that around 10:44 p.m., one male suspect entered the Lover’s Playground, 3604 N. Cunningham Ave., displayed a handgun, pointed at the clerk’s face and demanded money from the cash register.

The horrified female employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.  The suspect then ran from the store in an unknown direction. By the time deputies arrived on scene, the suspect had left the area.

The suspect is described as black male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a small build.  He was wearing a black do-rag with a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
