DEKALB COUNTY, GA — (05-27-20) — DeKalb County Superior Court judge Mark Anthony Scott, has ordered the arrest of Stardust Adult Store owner Michael Morrison.

The owner of the popular adult novelty store located at 3007 Buford Hwy NE in Brookhaven, has been ordered to spend six months behind bars after judge Scott found him in contempt of court multiple times.

“This is now the fourth time that the Court has found Morrison’s operation 0f Stardust to be illegal,” wrote Judge Mark Anthony Scott in his ruling last Wednesday.

City officials are claiming victory after DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Mark Anthony Scott ordered that the building be padlocked if Stardust does not pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees to the city. Scott also sentenced Stardust owner Michael Morrison to 180 days of imprisonment.

Judge Scott also ordered Stardust to be padlocked until Morrison pays Brookhaven the $863,000 in fines and fees the city has imposed on him and his business since its founding in 2013.

The constant harassment by the city upon this business owner is beyond ridiculous and hopefully his attorney, Cary Wiggins, appeals his case to get this “HIT JOB” thrown out, and demand damages for the harassment Michael Morrison has received as well as his employees.

This entire case is over insecure people who have a problem looking at pleasure products. Some how they have convinced themselves that a tax paying business who is bringing jobs to its community is destroying the fabric of their county! Yeah, go figure!

Attorney for Morrison Cary Wiggins, declined to comment for this article but should Morrison or Wiggins change their minds, we will update this story accordingly.

DeKalb County customers can show your support by visiting their Official Website and by following Stardust on Facebook.

As of May 26, the city of Brookhaven government’s Facebook post, “Brookhaven wins another decisive victory against illegal business,”  had over 127 comments; many of which were in defense of the Stardust adult store.
