‘Hold the Dark’ is an upcoming American intense thriller film directed by Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room), from a screenplay by Macon Blair. The ‘Hold the Dark’ project is based on the novel by William Giraldi. The horror film stars Jeffrey Wright, Alexander Skarsgård, James Badge Dale, Riley Keough and Julian Black Antelope.
Filming began on February 27, 2017 and concluded on April 26, 2017. The actors and crew went on a journey to bring you some of the most gorgeous shots ever captured on film including Calgary and Kananaskis Country, Alberta, which were used for the Alaska scenes.
We have confirmed that ‘Hold the Dark’ will make its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2018. Production companies Addictive Pictures, VisionChaos and FilmScience inked a deal with Netflix under their Netflix Originals label and will premier on September 28, 2018.
Synopsis:
“After the deaths of three children suspected to be by wolves, writer Russell Core is hired by the parents of a missing six-year-old boy to track down and locate their son in the Alaskan wilderness.”
