Our Flag Means Death (2022) Rhys Darby Comedy Series First Look

NEW YORK, NY – (02-16-22) – Our Flag Means Death (2022) is the upcoming HBO Max Original Series Comedy that stars Rhys Darby, Taika Waititi, Leslie Jones, Nat Faxon and Fred Armisen. One of the most anticipated series of 2022 is nearing, as HBO Max releases the ‘Our Flag Means Death Official Trailer about a new pirate on the scene who comes across a very interesting cast of characters, including Blackbeard.

With the timing of Darby and Waititi leading the way, the comedy series is going to be huge for HBO Max.

In a new EW interview, Rhys Darby opens up about the new series:

“I hadn’t really acted alongside [Waititi] at all,” Darby said. “So when he came aboard as [Blackbeard], all hell broke loose because no one’s telling him what to do. Now [we’re costars] and he’s not capable of telling me what to do!”

“They are like an old married couple in certain ways,” Jenkins said. “If a scene isn’t quite working, Taika will be able to grumble about Rhys, and vice versa, in the way that only friends can. And then when it is popping, they know how to get the best out of each other. There’s a generosity and a real sweetness between them that you wouldn’t get if you weren’t using those two friends.”

Our Flag Means Death is set to premier on HBO Max in March.
