LAS VEGAS, NV — (04-19-21) — IFC Films release Australian actor Eric Bana in the upcoming drama film ‘The Dry’, in theaters and On Demand in May 2021. Based on the global bestseller, a federal agent’s homecoming leads to a deeply personal murder investigation that reopens old wounds and threatens to unravel the tight-knit small town.
The Dry is a 2020 Australian mystery drama thriller film directed by Robert Connolly, from a screenplay by Connolly and Harry Cripps, and also stars Genevieve O’Reilly, Keir O’Donnell and John Polson.
“When Federal Agent Aaron Falk returns to his home town after an absence of over twenty years to attend the funeral of his childhood friend, Luke, who allegedly killed his wife and child before taking his own life – a victim of the madness that has ravaged this community after more than a decade of drought. When Falk reluctantly agrees to stay and investigate the crime, he opens up an old wound – the death of 17- year-old Ellie Deacon.”
After being delayed from it worldwide release due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, IFC Films is now set to release ‘The Dry’ in theaters and On Demand May 21, 2021.
