LAS VEGAS, NV — (03-18-21) — British synth-pop group Years & Years have officially split up. The group which consisted of lead vocalist and ‘It’s a Sin’ star Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy, and Emre Turkmen, announced on Thursday they have officially slit. Olly Alexander is already set to release his solo project which is sure to be dope!

The years & years pop group made their debut in 2015 with their break out hit ‘Desire’ and ‘King’. They officially came to the attention of the JRL CHARTS Gay Music Division with ‘All For You’ which hit over 5 Million views.

Years & Years Lead Vocalist Olly Alexander Goes Solo

While the group has official split, they are due to release new music this summer.

The band released the following statement on their social media platforms.

Dear Y&Y fans, There’s been some changes that we want to fill you in on,” the statement read. “This upcoming new album has been an Olly endeavour and we’ve decided that Years & Years will continue as an Olly solo project.”

“The three of us are still good friends. Mikey will be part of the Y&Y family and play with us live and Emre will focus on being a writer/producer. These past twelve months have been crazy for us all and we want to thank you for the love and support you’ve given us over the years (& years).”

“New Y&Y music will be coming this spring,” they concluded.
