Judge Green Lights Flava Works Porn Piracy Suit Against AMC TV Exec Marc Juris

CHICAGO, IL — As the mainstream media stays silent, we are reporting that multi-award winning gay adult entertainment company Flava Works Inc., received the green light today to amend its $1.2 million piracy lawsuit against established mainstream TV executive Marc Juris, over allegedly distributing Flava Works’ gay black and Latino porn online content through file-sharing sites that have cost the adult film industry billions over the years.

U.S. District Judge Amy J. St. Eve ruled today in favor of Flava Works Inc. which now gives the gay adult film company the right to amend its complaint. Judge St. Eve also refused the motion by Marc Juris to dismiss the case entirely.

Flava Works, in a suit filed in Chicago Federal Court back in August of this year stated that Marc Juris joined the Flava Works membership site, copied content and then proceeded to post that copyrighted content onto sites using peer-to-peer file-sharing technology.

Marc Juris (pictured right), who is an openly gay network president and general manager of WE tv, the AMC Network-owned digital cable and satellite TV channel, was served with a cease-and-desist order over the alleged file-sharing charge. He was also urged to settle the infringement case with Flava Works Inc. out of court but refused to do so.

Phil Bleicher, Flava Works founder and CEO, told JRL CHARTS…”Marc Juris was issued a cease-and-desist over alleged sharing and was urged to settle out of court. However the WE tv executive refused” said Bleicher. “We have ample evidence to prove that its him — from matching emails, IP, logs and usernames — and he continued to share our copyrighted works. Now we are suing him for $1.2 million.” said Bleicher.

Bleicher further added that copyrights and Juris’ membership information will be added to the amended complaint. Judge St. Eve has ordered the amended complaint by presented in her courtroom by next Thursday Nov. 2.
