Watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi Official Trailer

LAS VEGAS – Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) new trailer dropped during Monday Night Football while tickets went on sale at the same time online for the Dec. 15 opening weekend.

Classic Star Wars fans will see footage of Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker character training Daisy Ridley’s Rey and the climax of the trailer will shock you.

“I’ve seen this raw strength only once before,” Skywalker tells Rey, apparently referring to his pupil-turned-villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). “It didn’t scare me enough then. It does now.”

In the true tradition of the Star Wars franchise, the movie trailer brings all of the action including an awesome showdown between John Boyega’s Finn character and his former Clone army commander, Gwendoline Christie’s Capt. Phasma.

The movie also stars Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron as well as series newcomers Benicio Del Toro as DJ and Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico.

Synopsis:
“Luke Skywalker’s peaceful and solitary existence gets upended when he meets Rey, a young woman who shows strong signs of the Force.” Having taken her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Rey continues her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the saga.”
