Jax Jones, Years & Years – Play (Visualiser) Nears 3 Million Views

UNITED KINGDOM — (01-12-19) — “Play” is the hit music single and music video by DJ Jax Jones and English band Years & Years. The (Visualiser) music video to “Play” is so successful that its approaching nearing 3 million views on YouTube and the song just rose 8 spots to score the No. 11 spot on the Official Charts.

Years & Years also has much to celebrate as they’ve been nominated for Best British Group at the 2019 BRIT Awards.

The song “Play” was released as a single back on November 28. It was included on DJ Jax Jones’ Snacks EP. Vocals to the song were sung by Olly Alexander of Years & Years.

The song is also Jones’ first track to feature male lead vocals since 2016’s “House Work”. The hit song is also included on the track listing of Years & Years’ second studio album Palo Santo, re-released the same day as the single.

Polydor Records publicity division said that Jax Jones stated he had wanted to work with Olly Alexander of Years & Years because of his “unique voice” said Jones. “It was great to collaborate with someone so down to earth and open to new ideas.” said Jones.

On working together, Olly Alexander said the duo “giggled the whole time and danced around. I wrote loads of ideas and then we picked the ones we liked and made the song out of it” said Alexander.
