HOLLYWOOD, CA — (06-04-24) — From the director of ‘Evil Dead’, ‘Don’t Breathe’ and producer Ridley Scott brings you first look at ‘Alien:Romulus, a 20th Century Studios release coming to theaters and streaming platforms August 16, 2024.
The sci-fi horror film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu tells the story of young people on a distant world that find themselves confronting the most terrifying life-form in the universe.
Alien: Romulus is the seventh installment in the Alien franchise and is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). Directed by Fede Álvarez, who co-wrote it with Rodo Sayagues, the upcoming sci-fi thriller was produced by Scott Free Productions and Brandywine Productions.
The film was originally scheduled to be released on Hulu, but was switched to a theatrical release shortly before filming commenced. It is scheduled to be released by 20th Century Studios in theaters nationwide on August 16, 2024.
