LAS VEGAS — (06-28-23) — Lionsgate brings you first look at action movie star Liam Neeson in ‘Retribution (2023), the upcoming suspense drama that Lionsgate acquired the U.S., Canada and India distribution rights in late 2022.
The Nimród Antal-directed film is a remake of the Spanish movie El Desconocido (2015), which received eight Goya Award noms when it was released in Spain.

Synopsis:
“A bank executive receives a bomb threat while driving his children to school that his car will explode if they stop and get out. A remake of the 2015 Spanish film “El Desconocido.”
The remake action movie also stars Noma Dumezweni, Matthew Modine, Lily Aspell, Jack Champion, Embeth Davidtz and Arian Moayed.
Retribution will be released theaters August 25, 2023.
