HORSHAM, PA – (01-10-20) – Xgen Products confirms that they are set to donate to Australian Red Cross. Xgen teams with three of their trusted Australian partners, to help with the recent brush fires that have devastated the country.
“The brush fires in Australia have had an impact on the entire country, not just the New South Wales region,” said Andy Green, President of Xgen Products. “We have some of the best partners and customers in Australia, and wanted to help in any way we could.” said Green.
The Australian Red Cross provides emergency assistance, psycho-social first aid and practical support, as well as greets people evacuated by air and sea, and helps to reconnect families. They also carry out recovery assessments and in Victoria distribute food and water.
Their teams were on ground in multiple locations across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
In New South Wales more than 90 Red Cross personnel supported people at 61 evacuation centers. In Victoria more than 130 Red Cross personnel worked in emergency relief centers and the operations center.
“It’s exciting that all three of our partners stepped up without question,” added Green. “I know they’ll do a great job promoting our brands, so the more sales we have, the more we donate!” concluded Green.
As of this week, the Australian brush fires have claimed the lives of over half a billion animals and have set over 25 million acres ablaze. To put that in perspective, these brush fires are about 80 times the size of the deadly California wildfires of 2019.
