xXx: Return of Xander Cage Trailer #2 Unleashed

LAS VEGAS, NV — It has been 14 years since motion picture superstar Vin Diesel took the roll of Xander Cage, anti-government turned secret agent.

Now Vin Diesel is back in the spy seat in Revolution Studios/Paramount/Viacom s’ “xXx: Return of Xander Cage” set for release in January 2017.

The big budget film is is an American action-adventure film directed by D.J. Caruso, produced by Vin Diesel, Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Samantha Vincent, and written by F. Scott Frazier and Chad St. John.

However Forbes‘ wasn’t so kind in its opinion of the 3rd installment of the xXx franchise.

The cast is a winner on this one; Deepika Padukone, Donnie Yen, Samuel L. Jackson, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Rory McCann, Kris Wu, and Ariadna Gutiérrez. According to Paramount’s publicity division, “xXx: Return of Xander Cage” [2017] is intended to be the third film in the xXx franchise, and thereby a sequel to both the 2002 film xXx and the 2005 film xXx: State of the Union, though more directly with the first film.

In my opinion, this film appears to be a wannabe “Fast and Furious” production with a new crew for Vin Diesel to run. The production quality is with no doubt superb as always but will the latest in the xXx franchise be a box office success? We will find out come January 20 when xXx: Return of Xander Cage [2017] hits theaters nationwide.

Return of Xander Cage will be released by Paramount Pictures on January 20, 2017 in 2D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D.
