The Mowgli's "Wasting Time" debuts #5 LGBTQ Music Chart

LOS ANGELES — (01-12-20) — Indie-pop band The Mowgli’s new ‘Wasting Time’ debuts at #5 on the LGBTQ Music Chart UK Week 03. The group is back with a brand new one-off single and music video titled “Wasting Time,”. The pulsating pop offering is radio-ready and is sure to appease long-time fans of the five member band.

Band Members Katie Jayne Earl, Josh Hogan, Matthew Di Panni, Dave Appelbaum and Andy Warren are sure to catapult to the top of the LGBTQ Music Chart in no time.

“‘Wasting Time’ compares dream paralysis with being stuck in a day-to-day loop of the same old thing,” Vocalist/guitarist Josh Hogan told Forbes Hollywood & Entertainment reporter Brian Leak. “Sometimes, even when we try over and over, it seems like we’re getting nowhere. We want to hold ourselves accountable, but we don’t always find a solution. If you can keep your head up and believe in yourself through these moments, you will come out the other side much stronger, and you’ll feel gratitude towards those struggles. said Hogan.

“I started the song while walking my dogs,” Hogan continues. “The melody hit me in the face, so I recorded a voice note into my phone. When I took the song to the session, Scott [Chesak, friend of the band] started playing chords over my voice note, which was just me singing over nothing. It didn’t take long for us to get into the song, and she basically wrote herself.” said Hogan.

The Mowgil’s and CandyShop Recordings/AWAL released “Wasting Time” on single on 30 December, while the official video dropped on 02 January 2020.
