Trailer 2 Packed with Explosions and Darth Vader Returns
HOLLYWOOD, CA – The sequel to last year’s Star Wars Trilogy is back with an American epic space opera film directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Tony Gilroy, Chris Weitz and Gary Whitta. From a trilogy story line idea created by visual effects supervisor John Knoll.
“It will be the first stand-alone Star Wars Anthology film. Set in the Star Wars universe some time after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith [2005] and shortly before the events of the original Star Wars, the story will center on a group of Rebel spies on a mission to steal the design schematics for the Galactic Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star.”
ROGUE ONE [2017] is produced by Lucasfilm and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Principal photography on the estimated $120 million – $150 million budget film began at Elstree Studios, near London during early August 2015.
ROGUE ONE [2016] is set to release in theaters on December 15, 2016 in the UK before preview screenings in the US start that night before going nationwide on December 16, 2016.
Starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Wen Jiang and Academy Awards winner Forest Whitaker.
