Pete Buttigieg witnesses 9 Yr. Old Come Out Gay at Rally

DENVER, CO — (02-23-20) — Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg and the world witnessed a 9 year-old come out gay during Buttigieg’s campaign rally last Saturday.

In a heart felt moment during the Q&A portion of the rally, presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg watched as a 9-year-old boy who wanted to know how to be “brave” like Buttigieg and tell people he’s gay.

“Thank you for being so brave. Would you help me tell the world I’m gay too? I want to be brave like you,” asked the 9 year-old later identified as Zachary Ro.

“I don’t think you need a lot of advice from me on bravery. You seem pretty strong,” replied Buttigieg. “It took me a long time to figure out how to tell even my best friend that I was gay, let alone to go out there and tell the world,” said Buttigieg.

He continued..“To see you willing to come to terms with who you are in a room full of thousands of people you’ve never met…”

The history making openly gay presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg who is often seen on the campaign trail with his husband Chasten Buttigieg, offered some advice to Zachary…“It won’t always be easy, but that’s OK because you know who you are. When you know who you are you have a center of gravity that can hold you together when all kinds of chaos is happening around you,” said Buttigieg.
