Mile 22 Trailer #1: Mark Wahlberg Team Get S**t Done

Mile 22, the bad-ass upcoming American action thriller film starring Mark Wahlberg and directed by Peter Berg and written by Lea Carpenter and Graham Roland. The black ops’ film also stars John Malkovich, Lauren Cohan, Iko Uwais, and Ronda Rousey. The film is scheduled to be released on August 3, 2018.

According to STX Entertainment, on March 2, 2015, it was announced that Ronda Rousey and Iko Uwais were set to star in the action-thriller film Mile 22 scripted by Graham Roland, with Peter Berg attached as producer. On November 7, 2017, Lauren Cohan was cast in the film. WME Global was in talks to finance the film. Then on July 2, 2015, Mark Wahlberg confirmed that he would play the male lead role, while Berg was also confirmed to direct the film for STX Entertainment. Berg would also produce the film along with Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson.

Then on March 28, 2017, Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg announced that they are moving ahead with ‘Mile 22’ as a franchise and plans to do a trilogy of ;Mile 22; action films. This is sure to be another hit for Mark Wahlberg’s action film trilogy.

Principal photography on Mile 22 was shot in Atlanta, Georgia back in November and December 2017 under the working title Ground Branch, and in Colombia in the capital city Bogotá and its surroundings in January and February 2018.

Synopsis:
“An elite American intelligence officer, aided by a top-secret, tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of the country.”
