Male Suspect Caught on Tape Stealing from Enchantasys

FARGO, N.D. — (02-24-20) — A man caught on surveillance video stealing from Enchantasys adult novelty store in Fargo of Lingerie and a Sex Toy, is now getting major publicity to capture him.

The crime took place at Enchantasys on 7tn Avenue in broad daylight and the owner of the adult novelty store is calling the robber a coward.

“The clerk greeted him and asked if he was already to go and he said yes, and tucked everything down and then bolted out the door,” Kim Patterson told local NBC affiliate Channel 4 News.

In the surveillance video you can see the suspect in the adult store looking at merchandise when he began all of a sudden made a dash for the front door.

Another employee ran after him to get a picture of the suspect’s license plate on the getaway car but it was covered.

According to Kim Patterson, owner of Enchantasys, the suspect ran off with two pieces of lingerie and a sex toy. Patterson also told Channel 4 Valley News that she did not alert police due to their change in policy in 2019, to not respond to shoplifting cases.

However she did say that putting the surveillance video out online, she hopes it will get attention from locals who may recognize the suspect.

“I would feel horrible if I got a Valentine’s Day gift from some guy and then found out that he stole it,” said Patterson. “The guy ran like my tiny little clerk behind the counter was a threat to him or something. He just handled it, he was a coward about the whole thing.” concluded Patterson.

The worth of merchandise stolen from Enchantasys is valued at $140.
