‘Let’s Talk About Prep’ is the new music video focusing on the use of the new ‘Prep’ pill being promoted to young Americans to prevent contracting HIV/AIDS.  The song was recorded by Chicago-based Hip-Hop artist KC Ortiz and features Big Dipper, drag queen and advocate Lucy Stoole, DJs [X]P and All the Way Kay, Comic Tien Tran and more.

The Howard Brown Health Center which is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer organization based in Chicago, United States, uploaded the music video targeting the LGBTQ community with the ‘Prep’ message on July 27, 2018. The organization was founded as a healthcare provider and now provides health and social services in several locations in the Chicago area.

Sampled from the 1990 R&B hit song by Salt-N-Pepa, Let’s Talk About Sex – The ‘Let’s Talk About Prep’ song by KC Ortiz, has already captured major heat as it made its debut on the Gay Music Chart 2018 Week 32 debuting at No. 32 in the USA.

“Join the sexual health conversation. Let’s talk about sex. Let’s talk about PrEP. PrEP is a once daily medication that can reduce your risk of getting HIV.”

According to the Howard Broth Health Center, “Let’s Talk About PrEP” continues the HIV-advocacy legacy of Salt-N-Pepa’s original 1991 song, “Let’s Talk About Sex.” Two years after its initial release, they re-recorded it as “Let’s Talk About AIDS,” bringing awareness of the HIV epidemic to mainstream audiences.
