WASHINGTON D.C — (03-03-19) Joe Biden, the current front runner for the 2020 presidential nominee and LGBTQ-friendly politician, is getting slammed after calling vice president Mike Pence a ‘Decent Guy’.

Biden made the ‘Decent Guy’ comment about anti-LGBTQ vice president Mike Pence when he appeared last Thursday at the Hagel’s Forum for Global Leadership at the University of Nebraska’s Omaha campus.

The former vice president was discussing the vice president’s recent appearance at the Munich Security Conference of European leaders. His appearance did not go over well and showed how Donald Trump’s behavior has alienated our traditional allies around the world, said Biden. ‘I’m here on behalf of President Trump,’ and there was dead silence,” said Biden.

The backlash comes over Biden’s comments due to Pence pushing through anti-LGBTQ policies, his own wife Karen, teaches at a Christian school that discriminates against LGBTQ people. The list just goes on and on so when Joe Biden called Mike Pence a ‘Decent Guy’, it created a fire storm among LGBTQ activists and constituents.

In act, actor and LGBTQ activist Cynthia Nixon gave the former vice-president a mouthful on twitter.

Will this harm Joe Biden’s chances at launching a 2020 campaign? Has he lost the LGBTQ vote? Don’t forget that Joe Biden has been a strong supporter of the LGBTQ community for decades and not ony when it was politically safe to do so.

While this was a gaf, we must remember that he comes from a different era in politics where politicians respected each other even though they didn’t agree politically.

Those days are gone and Joe Biden will have to adjust to the new gotcha’ style tactics in the political arena if – He intends to launch a 2020 presidential campaign.
