“Idol”, the new music video recorded by South Korean crossover boy band, BTS.  The BigHit Entertainment boy band who crossed over to the USA with a bang, released “Idol” on August 24, and already has garnered over 21.3 Million views on YouTube. The new tack is the lead single from their second compilation album ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ (2018).

BTS has taken the No. 1 spot on all of Korea’s major real time charts with their new track!

Plus JRL CHARTS has learned that an alternative version of the “Idol”,  features iHeartRadio Music Award winner Nicki Minaj. The bonus song is included on the digital album. Not only that but LGBTQ fans of BTS are loving the “Idol” dance track that is sure to be playing in nightclubs nationwide in no time.

Back on August 22, Big Hit Entertainment dropped the teaser video of  “Idol” music video. As described by Billboard, ‘Idol’ is a “traditionally inspired track” featuring different classical Korean instruments.

Several days before the release of the “Idol” single, rumors were going viral over the news that a collaboration track between BTS and Nicki Minaj had surfaced especially when Shazam identified the teaser video of the track as “Idol” by BTS (feat. Nicki Minaj)”.

On August 24, 2018, two hours before the official release of the ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ album, BigHit Entertainment confirmed that an alternative version of “Idol” featuring Nicki Minaj would be included in the digital version of the album as a bonus track.

It was revealed that BTS contacted Minaj after completing the album, and she accepted the invitation without hesitation.
