SAN FRANCISCO — (05-29-20) — One of the premiere sex-positive adult toy retailers in the U.S., Good Vibrations, and its customers in the San Francisco Bay Area and Boston, together raised and donated $28,553 via the chain’s GiVe program from October 2019 through the first quarter of 2020.

Once again the 11 brick and mortar adult retail chain of Good Vibrations gives back to those in need!

Nonprofits which received the funds include the SF Marin Food Bank, Alameda Food Bank, Second Harvest Santa Cruz, Second Harvest Silicon Valley, and Rosie’s Place, the historic Boston, MA women’s shelter that also hosts a food bank. GiVe, also known as Good Vibrations Gives Back, is the retailer’s program that uses the engagement of its customer base to drive donations to worthy nonprofits. The company passes 100% of the donated funds to each quarter’s GiVe recipients.

“These funds were collected from our amazing customers that stepped up to help their community in need,” said Andy Duran, Good Vibrations’ Education Director. “We’re so grateful we can serve as a vehicle for community fundraising and want to thank our customers for their continuous generosity. These organizations have been wonderful to work with and we are so honored to have partnered with them.” said Duran.

Good Vibrations chose food banks to be its 2019 fourth quarter GiVe recipients to address food insecurity around the holidays, and were so gratified by the response that they continued to raise funds into the first quarter of 2020. Now, these important community resources are more vital than ever, as the COVID-19 pandemic affects jobs, household income, and health.

The Good Vibrations staff encourages those who can give to donate generously to these indispensable local resources.

“We need to get through these tough times together.”
