ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA — In what is turning to be an International condemnation against the government of Tanzania from world leaders over the arrest of twenty people who were attending a training seminar for HIV/AIDS relief this past weekend.
Government officials claim that they are conducting a crackdown on homosexuality behavior in the country.
“They are implicated in homosexuality.” said regional police Commander Hassan Ali Nasri (pictured right), on state television. “We arrested them and are busy interrogating them. The police cannot turn a blind eye to this practice.” said Nasri.
The commander, further added that 12 women and eight men were arrested in the hotel where they were participating in the training session being conducted by the NGO who routinely work throughout the African contentment on HIV/AIDS education programs.
This outrage is on top of the already controversial decision taken by the government of Tanzania back in February when they announced that they were stopping the majority of privately owned and operated health centers from providing AIDS-related services.

Gay men are subject to 30 years to life imprisonment under Tanzanian law if busted for engaging in homosexual conduct however, there is no such law for lesbian relations. What a surprise!
The Tanzania government has over the past month, vowed to deport foreigners who “campaign for homosexuality”.
