Captivating Gay Love Story God's Own Country Gets Release Date

LAS VEGAS, NV — The captivating Gay love story film “God’s Own Country” (2017), written and directed by Francis Lee, is capturing huge heat in promotion as the official theatrical release date has been announced.

Featuring an all star cast consisting of Josh O’Connor, Alec Secareanu and Gemma Jones.

The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of the year on January 23, 2017. It was the only production from the United Kingdom that featured in the world drama category in the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

Not only that but the gay film went onto screen at the Berlin International Film Festival back on February 11 2017.

Once the positive feedback reached Hollywood’s mainstream distribution market, Orion Picturehouse Entertainment, Orion Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn Films purchased the United Kingdom, and United States distribution rights.

According to Orion, the blockbuster film is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on October 27, 2017 with a USA release date pending.

Synopsis:
“Johnny Saxby works long hours in brutal isolation on his family’s remote farm in the north of England. He numbs the daily frustration of his lonely existence with nightly binge-drinking at the local pub and casual sex. When a handsome Romanian migrant worker arrives to take up temporary work on the family farm, Johnny suddenly finds himself having to deal with emotions he has never felt before. An intense relationship forms between the two which could change Johnny’s life forever.”
