LAS VEGAS, NV — After nearly 20 years, the world famous International Lingerie Show (ILS) has announced that it has ceased operations.  An official statement issued to exhibitors by ILS founder Jeff Yunis, stated the followoing:

“It is with deep regret that I announce the end of the line for future ILS shows, including the upcoming April show at the Westgate Hotel. Of course the new competition was a major factor in my decision but, to tell the truth, at age 75, with many more things I want to do and places I want to visit and family considerations, the timing was right.

In June 2016, several lingerie vendors announced their non-attendance at the last installment of the International Lingerie Show (ILS) in the Fall of 2016. By October, a newly formed Lingerie Industry Association announced plans for the Altitude Lingerie Show, which is set to launch April 2-4.

“I have made many friends and have much to be thankful for from past successes. The time has come to spend what I earned,” said Yunis.

On Monday January 2, 2017, as word spread, Yunis posted on now the former Facebook page of ILS’,  the following;

“As some of you may have heard, the ILS will no longer be producing shows. The staff of Specialty Trade Shows wants to sincerely and profusely thank you all for your support for nearly 2 decades, we sure had some fun! Time to move on to bigger and better things, so keep on the look out for industry news for our future plans.”

The official website for Spectrade and LVLingerieshow have both been taken offline.
