PORT NECHES, TX — (11-27-19) — Over Sixty thousand residents in Texas have been ordered to flee as firefighters struggle to contain a massive blaze at a chemical plant, following a series of explosions at the facility. Politicians on both sides of the aisle are asking for answers for this disaster.

Firefighters were battling to contain the fires and the initial explosion was followed by secondary blasts which could be feld 30 miles away.

At least two employees were injured in the explosions at the TPC Group’s chemical plant located at 2102 TX-136 Spur Wednesday morning.

Crystal Holmes, Captain at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office said they were “able to pull two injured employees out” and take them to local hospitals for assistance, adding there could be more injuries.
