LAS VEGAS — (09-07-22) — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, has been busted hiring actors to portray convicted felons as part of his campaign against Democratic opponent, Lt. Governor John Fetterman.
Talk about taking us back to the Willy Horton campaign ads of the 1990s where the late former president George W. Bush used a felon in his campaign for president. It appears that Oz is still stuck in the dark ages of the 20th Century style of politics.
The embarrassing outage of this stunt by the former TV doctor-turned-Senate candidate is going viral on social media and not in a good way!
So Dr. Oz is paying people to pretend to be felons in support of John Fetterman? This is gross. pic.twitter.com/6kMq61802u

In fact, a person by the name of Colin Matthews, wrote in an Instagram post last week that the Oz campaign hired him to support Fetterman as a convicted felon and he couldn’t “believe how many idiots thought I was legit out of jail.”
The move appears to be a desperate attempt for the Oz campaign to garner voters. Brittany Yanick, the Oz campaign’s communications director, shared a tweet about an “Inmates for Fetterman” initiative from reporter Justin Sweitzer last week.
Oz has called his opponent “soft on crime” during the campaign but, as Factcheck.org noted, the claim stretches the facts to sights never seen before in politics.
