$58K Worth of Sex Toys Stolen in Major Heist at Sexology Institute

SAN ANTONIO, TX — (08-22-22) — Adult store robberies have taken a huge turn for the worst as more than $58,000 worth of sex toys were stolen in broad daylight from the Sexology Institute by three men. Among the items stolen was the world’s most extravagant sex toy of all, the Swarovski crystal-encrusted vibrator worth $10,000.

The broad-daylight heist took place on June 30 at Sexology Institute in San Antonio, with surveillance videos catching the criminals breaking into the front door. They then proceeded to break into cases and fill their bags with sex toys, lubricants and lingerie before escaping in a truck.

The men involved in the heist took nearly everything in the store, including the cash register, according to St. James — have not yet been nailed.

“We came in to empty racks,” Sexology Institute manager Jasper St. James told the San Antonio Express News. “They took the world’s most extravagant vibrator and they were done.” said James.

“We feel incredibly violated and our hearts are broken,” the shop posted on Instagram. “As a small business this loss not only impacts us financially but emotionally as well. We know it will get better but even re-watching the videos of what happened makes us so anxiety-ridden. We are so glad no one was hurt and we completely understand things could have been worse, but it’s still awful.”
