WASHINGTON D.C. — (05-03-22) — U.S Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed the authenticity of Justice Samuel Alito’s leaked majority opinion draft overturning Roe v. Wade.

SCOTUS released a statement on Tuesday acknowledging Politico’s publication of the opinion draft, which has sparked outrage nationwide over the court’s majority (5 Conservatives) voting to rollback of federal protections for abortion rights.

The statement said the Samuel Alito’s draft document is “authentic,” but “it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues in the case.”

The statement also included remarks from Chief Justice Roberts, who condemned the first of its kind leak from the court and said the Marshal of the Court will being investigating the matter.

“To the extent this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed. The work of the Court will not be affected in any way,” said Roberts.” Court employees have an exemplary and important tradition of respecting the confidentiality of the judicial process and upholding the trust of the Court. This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here.”

This has become a fire storm in Washington D.C. and with mid-term elections coming in November and early voting kicking off next Tuesday in a number of states, Republicans are now nervous that the leak could cancel their doom and gloom narrative in quest to regain the majority in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

After the bombshell of this story, Republicans in the Midwest are already planning to come after same-sex marriage – and won’t stop there.

Already righteous Republicans, a number of whom recently sponsored legislation that would legalize common law marriage in Tennessee to be between a man and a woman, is ready to expand their culture war against the LGBTQ community in America.

That same Tennessee bill to ban same-sex marriage in their state would have eliminated minimum age limits to get married. This provision in the bill caught major backlash on social media this week and now, the bill’s Republican sponsor is amending the legislation.

While many were outraged over the age limit section, many ignored the true focus of this bill.

Sen. Janice Bowling’s testimony before the committee makes clear that the bill’s true focus is to outlaw same-sex marriages. In fact Justices Alito and Thomas have said on multiple occasion how they want to look at Obergefell v. Hodges, which made same-sex marriage the law of the land.

“It just declares that the marriage between a man and a woman is not a creation of the state government or its statutes, it is a common law right,” said Bowling, R-Tullahoma.

However that’s not how it has been playing out on social media!


The final decision on Roe v Wade is expected to be released in June or early July, but expect for the GOP to now go full force after the LGBTQ Community, now that they know they have a conservative packed court that will back them along party lines.
