HOLLYWOOD, CA — (01-17-22) — Marvel Studios unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming Disney Plus series entitled, “Moon Knight” (2022) on Monday night, officially launching the 2022 marketing campaign for the Marvel Cinematic Universe new franchise. The new series stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy.

In “Moon Knight,” premiering on March 30, Oscar Isaac plays Marc Spector, an ex-soldier with a profound case of dissociative identity disorder that manifests as fully distinct individuals. He becomes a new globetrotting action-adventure super hero with a complex of a vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder.

Unlike all of Marvel Studios’ previous series for Disney Plus, which were based on existing characters from the company’s pre-2019 feature films, “Moon Knight” begins a new chapter in the MCU with a new set of characters and a storyline that has no clear initial connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
