ROCKVILLE, MD — (12-30-21) — Rockville police have announced the arrest of an adult store robbery bandit who is accused of breaking into popular Knock First Adult Store and Couples Boutique — twice — in Montgomery County.

Marcel Ivan Alvarez, 23, of Rockville, MD was arrested on charges of second-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property, and theft.

According to Rockville Police, Alvarez allegedly broke into the Knock First Adult Store and Couples Boutique located at 765 Rockville Pike, early Dec. 18 and 23, and allegedly stole “numerous adult toys and erotic products” worth $2,400, says Rockville police.

In each burglary, Marce3l Ivan Alvarez allegedly threw a large rock threw the glass in the store’s front door to gain entry.

When police responded to a security alarm at the popular Knock First Adult Store on Dec. 23, they witnessed a car fleeing the scene. The following night, a Rockville police officer on patrol in the 1000 block of Rockville Pike witnessed the same car leaving the scene of the adult store the night before.

That’s when the officer took action and stopped the vehicle. Police said Alvarez attempted to flee, striking the police car in the process. Alvarez was arrested based on evidence and his admission of involvement. He was later released on a $250 bond.
