NEW YORK, NY — (12-29-21) — Ghislaine Maxwell, longtime associate of child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, was found guilty Wednesday by a Manhattan jury who returned guilty verdicts in five of the six charges against her after six days of deliberations.

The Manhattan jury heard four women detail accusations against the British socialite, saying that they were teenagers when they became victims of a sex-abuse plot devised Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell faced a six-count indictment for conspiring with and aiding the late Jeffrey Epstein who died committing suicide by hanging in his jail cell in 2019, to sexually abuse underage girls between 1994 and 2004.

A jury heard four women detail accusations against the British socialite, saying that they were teens when they became victims of a sex-abuse plot devised by Maxwell and Epstein.

Ghislaine was found not guilty on Count 2 of enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts. Maxwell now 60 years-old, faces up to 65 years in prison as a result of her conviction. She has been held without bail since her arrest in July 2020.
