LAS VEGAS, NV — (03-11-21) — Screen Gems presents Jeffrey Dean Morgan starring in THE UNHOLY Official Trailer (2021). The Unholy is the upcoming American horror film written and directed by Evan Spiliotopoulos in his directorial debut. The Unholy Official Trailer dropped on March 11, 2021 and already is picking up major buzz among horror film fans.

The film is based on the 1983 novel ‘Shrine’ by James Herbert. Director Evan Spiliotopoulos brings an outstanding cast that includes Katie Aselton, William Sadler, Diogo Morgado, Cricket Brown, Marina Mazepa, Christine Adams, Bates Wilder and Cary Elwes.

Synopsis:
“The film follows Alice (Cricket Brown), a young hearing-impaired girl who, after a supposed visitation from the Virgin Mary, is inexplicably able to hear, speak and heal the sick. As word spreads and people from near and far flock to witness her miracles, a disgraced journalist (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) hoping to revive his career visits the small New England town to investigate. When terrifying events begin to happen all around, he starts to question if these phenomena are the works of the Virgin Mary or something much more sinister.”

Sony Pictures Releasing is scheduled to release Jeffrey Dean Morgan starring in Screen Gems and Ghost House Pictures production ‘The Unholy’ in theaters on Good Friday April 2nd, 2021.
