ATLANTA, GA — (01-05-21) — Senate-Elect Raphael Warnock (D-GA) defeats incumbent Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) by thirty seven thousand votes, and Jon Ossoff (D-GA), has expanded his lead over incumbent Senator David Perdue (R-GA) with 99% of precincts reporting, by nearly ten thousand votes at the time of this post. The reason why the GOP and DNC feel that Ossoff will win his race is because the remaining votes outstanding are from heavily democratic districts.
This means President-Elect Joe Biden will have majorities in both the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, with Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris being the president of the Senate.
Senator Chuck Schumer will become the majority leader and has already said that he will be moving to get more stimulus to Americans who are in desperate need.
The two Republican candidates held the lead twice during the evening but ever since 11 p.m. PST, have been behind by thousands of votes.

The largest block of remaining ballots are in heavily democratic districts which is why the GOP are saying they have lost both senate seats.
Democrats benefited from strong turnout among Black voters which early numbers show accounted for twenty-nine percent of the statewide vote.
They also produced the same turn out percentage they did in the presidential election.
Final totals will be released on Wednesday January 6th.
