KEENE, NH — (11-11-20) — If you thought robberies were down in adult stores, think again as a Keene man was stopped trying to escape from the Vybrant adult store with $600 in sex toys.
According police Sgt. James Cemorelis, the unidentified 34 year-old suspect attempted to take several items from the popular Vybrant adult store located at 166 Emerald Street in Keene. (Map It)
One of the Vybrant adult store employees immediately called police when they became suspicious of the man and his partner a woman decoy, according to Sgt. Cemorelis.
When police arrived on scene, the male suspect was still inside the store with a bag full of pleasure products, said Cemorelis. Thanks to the Vybrant adult store surveillance video, police were able to see the male suspect putting items in a bag as he and the woman walked through the store.
According to the Vybrant employee, shoplifting has been on the rise at the adult toy and lingerie store. The suspect has a previous warrant in connection with another theft, a $600 bicycle, said Cemorelis.
