WASHINGTON D.C. — (08-24-20) — Trump White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, wife to George Conway, co-founder of The Lincoln Project, calls it quits.  She made the announcement on Sunday, one day before the Republican Convention. On top of that, over 24 GOP members endorse Joe Biden for president, again, one day before the RNC convention.

Conway who served as President Donald Trump’s third and final campaign manager in 2016 and who has served in his administration since day one, told the president Sunday night that she would be stepping down at the end of the month.

Her husband George Conway also posted on twitter that he was stepping down from the daily operations of The Lincoln Project, the Republican super pac that has been stinging the president in opposition ads.

“George is also making changes. We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids,” said Kellyanne Conway. “Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids ‘doing school from home’ requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times.”

“This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama,” she wrote.

George Conway announced on Sunday as well that he would be stepping away from Twitter as well. Before departing Twitter, Conway posted a lengthy thread in which he decried the president, his wife’s boss, as a “narcissistic sociopath” and a “cancer on the presidency” guilty of multiple crimes. “He has thoroughly corrupted his office, as well those around him,” the Republican lawyer wrote.

The couple’s teenaged daughter also said on Sunday she would be stepping away from Twitter, after making headlines for publicly criticizing her parents, particularly her mother’s work for Trump.
