LOS ANGELES — (07-08-20) — Executive producers John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis present Universal Pictures‘ “Halloween Kills” teaser trailer.
The wait for the next “Halloween” movie has been extended as Universal Pictures announced on Monday that director David Gordon Green’s “Halloween Kills” will now open in theaters on October 15, 2021.
The new release is a full year later than its original October 6, 2020 release date. The release date for the third film in the rebooted trilogy, “Halloween Ends,” has also been pushed to October 14, 2022.
“Halloween Kills” (2021) is the sequel to Green’s 2018 blockbuster hit “Halloween”, which opened to $76.2 million (the highest opening in the horror franchise’s history) and ended its run with $159 million in the U.S. and $255 million globally.
The horror thriller film from Universal Pictures “Halloween Kills”, re-teams Green with Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak.
