KOOTENAI COUNTY, ID — (07-05-20) — Two people are dead, and six others are feared to have died after two planes collided Sunday over Lake Coeur d’Alene.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that witnesses told authorities they saw two planes collide and fall into the lake. In initial reports said that there were a total of eight passengers and crew on the planes, but officials said they’re still trying to verify both planes passenger lists.
NTSB is investigating the Sunday, July 5, 2020 crash over Lake Coeur d’Alene, ID involving a Cessna TU206G and a de Havilland DHC-2.

Search and rescue crews continued their search for those on board after pulling two bodies out of the water. Authorities said they believed no one had survived.
The two planes have been identified as a Cessna TU206G and a de Havilland DHC-2. Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board said they are investigating the crash.
