BATTLE CREEK, MI — (05-04-20) — Adult Superstore Lover’s Lane became the victim of a $5,000 heist. According to police an estimated $5,000 in merchandise was taken from the Lover’s Lane store located at 5285 Beckley Road, Battle Creek.

Police received word of the break-in at 10:46 a.m. last Sunday and when officers arrived on scene, they said someone had smashed one of the front display windows with a rock to gain entry into the Lover’s Lane adult store.

Police said an estimated 50 adult sex toys and pleasure products were stolen along with the store’s safe containing $300.

The Lover’s Lane Battle Creek store has been closed since March 19 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but store managers said they normally check in on the store to make sure every thing is okay.

Police said someone removed the electric meter before breaking the window so it is clear this was a planned robbery and not a random act.

The suspects left through the store’s back door. A meter also was removed from a neighboring store but that business was not entered. The investigation is continuing.

If you have any information about this crime you are ask to contact Detective Sergeant Joel Case at 1-269-966-3322 at the Battle Creek Police Department.
