CALABASAS, CA — (01-26-20) — Basketball legend Kobe Bryant was killed on Sunday morning in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. He was 41 years-old.
The NBA legend, who retired in 2016 after 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers, was one of nine people who were killed in the helicopter accident including his 13 year-old daughter GIGI.

It is unclear where the helicopter was headed or who piloted it. The aircraft crashed amid foggy conditions into a hillside near an intersection in area north of Malibu State Park.
A small brush fire erupted and firefighters quickly extinguished it while other emergency workers searched the wreckage for survivors.
Bryant is survived by his wife Vanessa Bryant, and their four daughters—Natalie, Gianna, Biank and baby Capri.
UPDATE: Kobe Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, known as GiGi, was also killed alongside her father in the devastating helicopter crash on Sunday.
