EL PASO, TX — (08-03-19) — El Paso Mass Shooting resulted in 20 Dead, 26 Injured in Possible Hate Crime, according to El Paso police. Six of the injured victims are Mexican nationals in town for routine shopping, were transported to an El Paso area hospital.

Authorities have identified the alleged gunman who opened fire at an El Paso, Texas mall on Saturday August 9, leaving more than a dozen people dead. Here’s what we’ve learned so far.

Police sources told multiple media outlets that the alleged shooter is identified as 21 year-old Patrick Crusius from the Dallas area. Crusius is believed to be the only suspect in the shooting and is now facing the death penalty for his horrendous crime.

He was armed with a AK-47. In the hours after the mass shooting, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter scrubbed or suspended accounts purportedly belonging to Patrick Crusius.

He surrendered to police instead of taking his own life as most mass shooters do. We can confirm that there are 20 dead, 26 injured, one suspect taken into custody.
