LOS ANGELES – (07-05-19) – A major 6.9 earthquake rocked Southern California and Nevada, one day after a magnitude 6.4 earthquake in the same area.

The 6.9 earthquake hit Ridgecrest at 8:19 p.m. this evening and was felt as far as Las Vegas. The quake was so strong that it lasted over 10 seconds here in Las Vegas, so we can imagine what the Ridgecrest felt for the 2nd time in less than 24 hours.

Huge explosions are now being reported in Ridgecrest from this evenings 6.9 earthquake.

Southern California hit with a 6.9 Earthquake 1 Day after Magnitude 6.4

The quake was originally listed as a 7.1 but downgraded shortly after 8:30 p.m.
