SEOUL, KR — (06-21-19) — Universal Music and Big Hits drop BTS‘s first teaser for their new “Lights” MV. BTS has become International superstars as 2018 solidified that title with the boy band scoring the second and third best-selling albums worldwide.
The “Lights” MV teaser has already generated over 2.7 million views within the last 4 hours of its debut.
The were also the second best-selling artists worldwide in 2018. In 2019, Map of the Soul: Persona became the best-selling album in Korean history, and BTS became the best-selling artist in South Korea of all time, having sold over fourteen million albums, surpassing Big Bang of YG Entertainment.

Forbes Korea Power Celebrity, has named BTS the most influential celebrities of Korea in 2018. According to Forbes Korea, BTS are worth more than $4.65 billion to South Korea’s economy each year, attracting one in every 13 foreign tourists that visit the country, and are cited as one of the key acts boosting global music sales to $19 billion in 2018, a figure not seen since 2006 after digital purchases gained momentum.
The teaser for the “Lights” MV, is for the new Japanese single that gives fans a taste of the music, hints of vocals, and dreamy imagery.
The “Lights” MV teaser begins with Jungkook sitting alone in a movie theater that could very well be the same Persona theater from BTS’s “Boy With Luv” MV.
