BRICK, NJ —  (05-29-19) —  Police have made six arrests in the parking lot of  Pleasure Zone Adult Superstore on drug charges.  Management of the popular adult store have been helping police to discourage criminals from utilizing their parking lot which has been labeled by police, “a drug hotbed”.

Local news outlets were quick to demonize the popular Pleasure Zone Adult Superstore located at 235 Chambers Bridge Road (Map It), without pointing out how the store’s management and employees are doing everything legally possible to deter criminals from utilizing their parking lot for illegal activities.

“The rear lot of the Pleasure Zone has been a hotbed of suspicious activity, including drug use,” said  Sgt. James Kelly in a prepared statement. “Police have also been in communication with the management of the Pleasure Zone about efforts on their part to dissuade people from utilizing their rear lot for such activities. Some of those efforts have included increased lighting in the area, installing surveillance cameras, and signage warning would-be criminals that the area is under surveillance.” said Sgt. Kelly.

Brick Police Make Multiple Drug Arrests over 2 months in Adult Store Parking Lot

Brick Sgt. James Kelly presented details on the arrests made behind the Pleasure Zone Adult superstore that took place from March 5 through May 15.

“On March 6, detectives saw suspicious activity about 10 p.m. in the lot and the investigation led to the arrest of Christian Luna, 19, and Jose Luna-Serrano, 27, both of Jackson, on charges of marijuana possession and paraphernalia. Christian Luna also received a motor vehicle summons, and Jose Luna-Serrano had an outstanding warrant out of Howell Township. Patrolman Cody Oliverio and K9 Officer Scott Smith assisted with those arrests, Kelly said.

A Linden man was arrested in the lot about 3 p.m. on April 11, Kelly said. Edward Restaino, 52, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

On May 15 about midnight, DEU detectives arrested Muhammad Umer, whose last known address is in Maryland, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Umer’s vehicle was impounded for inactive insurance, for which Umer was issued a summons, said Kelly.

We salute the Pleasure Zone Adult Superstore in doing their part to help police get rid of these drug dealers and their customers from their property.
