GROVER BEACH, CA — (05-23-19) — A San Miguel man was busted by police for committing a robbery at a popular adult video store.

At 8:10 p.m. last Tuesday night, police were dispatched to the Diamond Adult World, located at 984 W. Grand Ave., for a robbery in progress.

Police say the suspect identified as 30-year-old Joseph Frank Hyde of San Miguel, escalated the robbery when he used force to get away from the Diamond Adult World clerk when he attempted to run over the employee with his motorcycle.

Police immediately issued a public alert to local agencies for Joseph Frank Hyde. Good fortune came at 11:30 p.m., when Atascadero police reportedly located Hyde and were able to detain him without incident.

Joseph Frank Hyde was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest and various drug charges. Is bail is set at $60,000.
