WASHINGTON, D.C — (04-10-19) — Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee claims that Gay rights are a threat to America’s morality. That’s what he told The Christian Post conservative news site. Huckabee says that LGBTQ equality is the “greatest threat” to America’s moral fiber.
The former low ratings talk show host and father of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, voiced his anti-LGBTQ rhetoric published last Friday on The Christian Post.
Mike Huckabee told The Christian Post:
“That’s when we first started losing that sense of sacredness of what marriage meant,” he argued. “So I’m not really that surprised that same sex-marriage has become in vogue because the Christian Church were the ones who essentially abdicated a strict responsibility about what biblical marriage should look like.”
“Once you’ve destroyed that, why can’t you have any and everything?” he continued. “The gender dysphoria we’re seeing today is largely due to the fact that the Church has failed to present very clearly the words of Jesus and Genesis 5:2: ‘Male and female He created them.’”
The anti-LGBTQ activist further said that in his opinion, same-sex marriage is “in vogue”. Ignoring the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court recognized same-sex marriage as a fundamental civil right for same-sex couples.
Mike Huckabee Says Gay Rights A Threat to America’s Moral Fiber
Mike Huckabee went further by blaming “the Christian Church” for failing to teach their church members “what biblical marriage should look like.”
“People are afraid that if they are really biblical, it will alienate people, and I think that’s nonsense,” said Huckabee.
One wonders why anyone still follows people with such hatred for fellow Americans, simply for their sexual orientation. Its no wonder his radio show and cable show were cancelled for low ratings.
